Well, here we go into a new legislative session, and the fifth most populous state in the nation is short a Senator in Washington because anyone even mildly tainted with the King Rod Blagojevich scandal is unacceptable to the Democrats in Illinois, and the national leadership of the party.  Roland Burris?  Come on - the guy is, of course a Chicago Democrat, and therefore subject to skepticism?  But the man has not ever been associated with anything dirtier.  Which, of course, says enough - that he's a Chicago Democrat.

Governor King Rod Blagojevich obviously sees the handwriting on the wall.  With federal prosecturors feverishly drilling convicted influence peddler, and Blagojevich insider, Tony Rezko, King Rod is due up on the Attorney General's hit parade of corrupt politicians.

Well, King Rod Blagojevich is at it again this year, stalling the state budget. Technically, all of the employees of the state should be on unpaid furlough right now and every state agency, other than emergency services, shut down. And King Rod says he's looking at the unbalanced budget looking for the appropriate areas to slice and dice with his line item veto authority, which he so callously used as a political weapon last fall.

One thousand bodies showed up to dole out chunks of hot sweaty cash to support their favorite potentate and Federal Investigatee - King Rod Blagojevich - the other night. Makes me wonder if any of them worry that they are now potential suspects in the ongoing Federal investigation of King Rod's Jobs for Donations program.

As if Illinois wasn't already in enough trouble - Chicago Mayor Richard Daley's BROTHER wants to be governor, to replace Governor King Rod Blagojevich in 2010? I swear, if the Democrats outside of Chicago make THIS dumb mistake, everyone with half a brain should leave the state before Prince William is sworn into office.

And good Old King Rod - there he goes filling his coffers to try to fight him off.

The Illinois Republican Party is hard at work in Decatur discussing how best to combat the rising tide of influence, and power, and corruption of the Chicago Democrats, not just on the state scene where the Machine of Corruption already holds total domination, but also how to stop them from taking hold of the White House.

Are the members of the Democratic Party who live in downstate Illinois brain damaged, or just sheeple willing to be led to the slaughter? Your leadership has been totally and completely overrun and corrupted by the Chicago Machine. And yet, you helped elect, then reelect, King Rod Blagojevich, who is on the path to becoming known as the most corrupt governor in the history of the state.

Riddle me this - Why should Debbie Halvorson of Crete represent downstate 11th Congressional District? Halvorson has been fully in the pocket of Clown Prince Emil Jones for the last 3 years, doing his bidding and serving as the principal roadblock in service to King Rod Blagojevich during her tenure as the chair of the Illinois Senate's Rules Committee?

Ah, you have to love King Rod Blagojevich's staff, loyal to the core. Abby Ottenhoff said in the press statement yesterday that "We have to take action now" when referring to King Rod's "new" plan to combat street violence in Chicago.

I wonder how many of King Rod Blagojevich's political appointees are looking over their shoulders these days? How many of them have gone to throw-away cell phones for communications with the Governor's office - how many demand personal meetings in safe rooms recently swept of electronic monitoring?

The entire Loop School million dollar boondoggle is starting to take shape, with Ms. Gill's ties to Jesse Jackson revealed, and Jackson apparently exerting influence on King Rod Blagojevich to pardon her.

From where I sit, there is one fundamental reason Illinois voters need to vote to force a Constitutional Convention and rewrite portions of the fundamental law of the state. And that is to short-circuit the abuse of power being exercised by Senate President Emil Jones in his unflagging support of Governor King Rod Blagojevich.

Ah, the chickens are coming home to roost. How much more will the prosecutors get on record from Levine against King Rod Blagojevich during his testimony is the BIG question. Man, this investigation reached right to the top a LOT faster than the one against George Ryan.

Could the Governor, King Rod Blagojevich, have been any more obtuse with his State of the State speech yesterday?

This whole "open government" thing of King Rod Blagejovich's administration makes me wonder just how far from his Soviet roots he's really gotten. If by "open" you mean "open your wallet to me and my friends" he's right on the mark.

What, exactly, does the currently-free governor of Illinois have in hiding with this one? Is there a cell being prepared in Wisconsin next door to George Ryan?

Poor King Rod Blagojevich. $2 million of campaign funds down the tubes in legal bills - and the press wants to know why. Imagine that - watchdogs of the press hounding you wanting answers to why you're spending so much on legal bills. And you think you can distract the public with your ad hominem attacks?

Boy, this is such a surprise, that the Daley Machine and its supporters would be accused of anything like corruption and illegal bidding practices! Say it ain't so, Dad! Not the Illinois Democratic Party! And this is the city that wants to be the first government entity to own a casino?

The hoteliers, restaurateurs, and other business people of Springfield should rejoice King Rod Blagojevich's decision to force the hapless General Assembly back into session on January 2, 2008. Amazingly, King Rod did not tell them to be in session Christmas Eve. How many of them can - or will - use public transportation to get to Springfield?

Well, it must be finally official. Illinois must be the single most corrupt state in the nation, if legislators approve the city of Chicago building and owning a casino. Isn't this the same city made famous around the world for its mobster ties? A Governor with a major gambling fetish, and a Senate President who is crooked as a corkscrew.

Sounds like the perfect plan, doesn't it?

Ah, it was SO good to see that Illinois House member Jesse Jackson, Jr., who was elected riding on the fame (some say infamy) of his father's name, much like Daddy Jackson has lived off the public trough because of his loose association with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Junior this past week voted - now get this - to start impeachment proceedings against GW Bush.
