Ah, you have to love King Rod Blagojevich's staff, loyal to the core. Abby Ottenhoff said in the press statement yesterday that "We have to take action now" when referring to King Rod's "new" plan to combat street violence in Chicago. Let's not forget, this is the same dumbass governor who abused his amendatory veto power last fall and KILLED what was a HIGHLY EFFECTIVE anti-gang violence program, calling it "pork barrel spending" - because his political rivals supported it.

I hope the members of the General Assembly tell King Rod to take a hike - and try to reinstate the funding to the old program - if that isn't too late, and the program hasn't already closed shop.
