Way to GO Arizona!

The LA Times does a nice job of detailing just how important the states' roles are going to be in battling the invasion of illegal aliens into the United States. But why do they sound sorry for the plight of Mexican city Sonora, where most of Arizona's Mexican Invaders are choosing to repatriate? E-Verify is working in Arizona and Oklahoma - why isn't it being used in Illinois?

The Times had to really stretch to find any comments that even brought a single drip of sympathy while going over the flaws of E-Verify. The story of the woman detained for 15 hours because she was stopped for speeding - without a license. Hello? I've been detained for the exact same thing, until the MUCH smaller Urbana police department could verify my identity.

The illegal alien whining (in Spanish, no less) that he lost his job after being in this country... drum roll please... 11 YEARS illegally won't cut it. Sorry, Carlos, but you're a criminal for not playing by the rules. And he's headed to New Mexico. That shouldn't be an option. He should be one of the many flooding Sonora and overrunning a city in his native land. And he couldn't speak English. Let's repeat that - After 11 years, he couldn't speak ANY English.

Yes, E-Verify has flaws - and the federal government needs to get its collective act together so no more fiascos with the Social Security Administration occur. A mass mailing to every SSA employee, laying out stiff penalties and possible dismissal, for not accepting a valid US Passport as proof of identity and citizenship needs to get out. Hell, the employer can APPEAL the E-Verify notice based on someone having a passport.

Some of us know that Homeland Security does a pretty lousy job with the TSA, and their profiling system. I've been stripped down to my socks and underwear 8 times in the last 3 years. 50ish white male. Name that has been in this country for over 300 years. And I'm still being blacklisted for "special handling" and nobody at the TSA or DHS can tell me how to get off the list.
